A Comparison of Male Characters in "The Great Gatsby" and "Farewell My Concubine" from the Perspective of Gender Poetics

"The Great Gatsby" by Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, an American male writer of the early 20th century and "Farewell My Concubine" Li Bihua, a female Hong Kong mid-to-late are two classical works in literary research. This dissertation analyses contrasts novels' characters from standpoint gender poetics. Our analysis demonstrates that writers have same perspectives on when researching objective assessment warm caring men displayed their works.
